FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Spectra has opened a second fulfillment center in the state of South Carolina, located in North Charleston. This facility, Spectra’s second, builds on the expert, end-to-end fulfillment activities that the company operates at its Columbia headquarters and increases opportunities for businesses of all sizes to use Spectra as their fulfillment provider. The facility is equipped with advanced solutions and expert staffing for retail packaging, kitting, pick and pack, warehousing, and inventory management. Outsourcing these fulfillment activities to Spectra’s experienced team is an important way that enterprises can save money while continuing to grow their business.

The new Spectra location opened in October 2020, despite the many challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated state and federal restrictions. Walter Kohn, the president and CEO of Spectra, notes: “Although the country and the state of SC were in the grips of COVID, Spectra was canvassing the market for new opportunities up and down the eastern seaboard.” The Spectra leadership team’s aggressive actions paid off, as a quickly growing South Carolina-based outdoor sports manufacturer chose to partner with Spectra for its fulfillment needs. This major client was searching for a partner that could handle its complex global fulfillment volume needs reliably and efficiently while leaving the company free to concentrate on reaching new markets and developing new areas of growth.

In addition to its initial major client, the North Charleston center continues to pursue partnerships with companies throughout the region and beyond that need the expertise, print capabilities, powerful digital inventory systems, personalization, and cost savings that Spectra offers as an outsourcing partner. As an area that continues to see strong economic growth and new companies founded all the time, the Lowcountry region of South Carolina is a fantastic location for Spectra’s secondary base of fulfillment operations.

The leadership of Spectra is proud to have created 35 to 45 full-time employment positions at the new North Charleston fulfillment center, and they look forward to growing along with the region as they form alliances with many other local companies. Currently, the facility produces over 6 million products annually, and there are openings for new clients to engage with Spectra to provide expert, technology-based inventory management and fulfillment for their marketing and B2B materials.

For nearly 20 years, businesses and institutions have trusted Spectra to manage their inventory, fill orders, and print materials on-demand, as well as many other critical services. The expansion of these services into the Lowcountry with the North Charleston facility enables Spectra to become an even more effective third-party fulfillment provider for clients throughout the United States.
